How Babeth reads Casumo
At least every two minutes, the engine re-reads Casumo's odds on the winner and total markets of the matches in the next four days (British bookmaker: match result and totals only), and compares them with the fair odds calculated from Pinnacle and Betfair Exchange, margin removed. Whenever Casumo pays more than those fair odds, the bet is flagged, with its edge, its suggested stake and a link to the bet.
Flagged bets are settled with the official score and published on the Results page, with the closing line: that is what makes it possible to measure, bookmaker by bookmaker, how many bets beat the close. No figure on this page is entered by hand.
